Hello Reader,
The Sonoran Chronicle is a group of reporters starting out on their careers. Most of us met at the J-School at the University of Arizona. Now, we report from Nogales, Tucson, and Phoenix.
You will see that nearly all of the posts in the past year are intros to stories published by other news outlets, such as the Nogales International, the Green Valley News, Inside Tucson Business, Arizona Capitol Times, and Reuters. That’s because each of us has to make a living.
This site, along with Linehouse Images and Linehouse Sounds, is a platform for our work that allows us to play around with different formats. It is also a venue for all the work we do that doesn’t get to see the light of day on other publications.
The Chronicle is also a link to other news organizations that need a fixer in Southern Arizona. We have already helped out, in one way or another, the BBC, PBS, KGUN-9 in Tucson, and independent journalists from England, the Netherlands, and France.
If you are a producer or reporter who needs a hand in Southern Arizona or Northern Sonora, get in touch with us here.
That about covers it. Please feel free to get in touch with us.
Un abrazo,
Cacho Prendergast
